According to Car Magazine, Hyundai is establishing a joint research center with Seoul National University (SNU). This collaboration between the automaker and the university aims to advance battery technology in electric vehicles while simultaneously achieving Hyundai’s goal of global leadership in this field.

President of Seoul National University, Hong Lim Ryu, said at the signing ceremony of this partnership: “The joint battery research center will be a new starting point for the advanced battery technology of Hyundai Motor Group.” Our faculty’s capable researchers and graduate students will be effective in all processes from the development of batteries to the foundation of various innovations by creating joint synergy with Hyundai.

He added: Our mission is to preserve the environment for future generations. With research and development, we intend to play an important role in the electrification of the transportation industry.

The South Korean automaker is accelerating the electrification of cars and with the IONIQ model family proved that electric models are welcome. The IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 models of this Korean brand also impressed customers who were thinking of buying an electric car.
